Felix DietzFelix Dietz is chef at restaurant Rive Fish & Faible. After an apprenticeship with Gerhard Brugger at the Plainlinde in Salzburg, Felix worked at several restaurants including Heinz Hanner in Mayerling and Vendome under chef Joachim Wissler. From the outside, the restaurant looks like a futuristic yacht that could start sailing off at any time. Inside, the modern space is elegantly furnished with dark wooden floors, neutral tones and stylish yet comfortable chairs. While munching on chef Felix Dietz’s fish-based creations, you can enjoy one of the city’s best views, overlooking the Hamburg harbour and the Elbphilharmonie. If the weather allows for it, you can also wine and dine on the sunny terrace.
Rive Fish & Faible’s cuisine
At restaurant Rive Fish & Faible, chef Felix Dietz only works with the best products. 85 percent of his ingredients consist of fish and seafood that are, as much as possible, sustainably sourced from certified aquacultures, and freshly caught in the region. For lunch, the chef and his team prepare more than 10 menus, which you can order as a “speed lunch” (2 courses) or a “relax lunch” (3 courses). For dinner, you can either order dishes à la carte or opt for the 4- or 5-course dinner menu. Expect delicious options like baked haddock with dill mustard pickles, green apple, and Petrossian caviar. The restaurant’s extensive wine list, with outstanding wines from all over the world, will surely make for an excellent food-and-wine pairing.
