Dominik Georg UtassyDominik was born and raised in Bad Aussee, traveled far and wide and then grounded his kitchen foundation back home. He did his apprenticeship at the post office in Lech before moving to Singapore and from there to Alfons Schuhbeck's kitchen in beautiful Munich. His most formative influence in the kitchen, however, was Alfred Friedrich, with whom he first made the kitchen hot at Tigerpalat and then at Lafleur in Frankfurt.

Domink Utassy's cooking style is clearly anchored in the roots of Ausseerland. Salt, game, meat and fish are the regional pillars of his cuisine. For his Francophile style of cooking, he also likes to think outside the box and sources sustainably sourced products from neighboring countries. This results in creations such as venison with oysters. Mountain and sea meet at the foot of the Loser.
