Bastian EbertAfter training at the Alpin Lifestyle Hotel Löwen & Strauss in Oberstdorf and working in renowned kitchens such as the Tantris restaurant in Munich, the Dal Mulin restaurant in St. Moritz and the Hotel Papa Rhein in Bingen, Bastian Ebert returned to the Schlossanger Alp in Pfronten at the beginning of 2022 to support his mother Barbara Schlachter-Ebert's kitchen as sous chef. He took over the reins at the end of 2022 and has been continuing the family culinary tradition ever since - but with his own signature, which is characterized by light, healthy cuisine and a focus on the essentials.

In preparation of the menu at Schlossanger Alp, the kitchen team places the highest emphasis on the flavour of the product, along with the right technique to prepare it. In short, the cuisine here is utterly delicate handwork.This straightforward no-nonsense way of getting to the heart of taste is the reason why restaurant Schlossanger Alp is rated as one of the very best of 300 restaurants in Germany every year. Occasionally, chef Barbara Schlachter-Ebert will add locally hunted wild on the menu, which fully resonates with the traditional local atmosphere of the restaurant. Here, you can easily recognize what is happening on your plate. All the elements taste good on their own, delivering what each part of the dish has to offer, without making your mouth feel overwhelmed with too many components. Sommelier Bernhard Ebert is pleased to advise you on the fabulous selection of wines and will let you in on the secrets of true wine enjoyment. The extensive wine list contains over 300 different wines, including rare gems from Germany, France, Austria, and Italy.

Restaurant and Berghotel Schlossanger Alp are situated at 1130 meters above sea level, surrounded by beautiful meadows and Alpine mountains. The beautiful surroundings offer many opportunities for outdoor activities, such as hiking, cycling and skiing. Interesting cultural highlights in the area include the breathtaking Neuschwanstein Castle, a 19th-century palace castle located on a hill above the village of Hohenschwangau. And the Linderhof Castle, King Ludwig II's stunning 19th-century palace castle where you can do a guided tour and learn about its royal history.

Berghotel Schlossanger Alp is the perfect spot to extend your stay and go on a luxurious spa vacation. It lies adjacent to the beautiful Pfrontener mountains, surrounded by endless Alpine meadows. This wellness hotel offers guests a choice between 18 rooms and 17 suites. All rooms vary in interior and style through a combination of natural materials and selected accessories. Sometimes cozy, sometimes modern; always bright and comfortable. The hotel has a 350 m2 “Bergquell” wellness area where you can fully unwind while enjoying the pool, spa, and steam bath. If you want to really go all out and pamper yourself, you can even book a massage and facial, to complete your exquisite wellness experience.
