Nina ČarmanDanilo is a restaurant with a long heritage. Grandfather Danilo Kosmačin bought the old inn in Reteče in 1961, renamed it ‘’Pri Danilu’’, and embarked on a food and culinary journey that continues today.

At Danilo restaurant, traditional dishes are re-imagined in a modern setting. Using chef Nina’s culinary expertise, her grandmother’s recipes are masterfully transformed. Guests can choose between an à la carte menu and an exciting tasting menu. The wine list contains more than five hundred carefully selected wines, perfect to complement each dish. Favourites include beef carpaccio, fresh mushrooms from Pokljuka, homemade gnocchi, Sorica trout and veal ossobuco. These dishes are sure to delight your palate and give you an outstanding gastronomic experience.

Restaurant Danilo in Reteče is near the old town Škofja Loka, one of the oldest towns in Slovenia, dating back to 973.
